Lab of the Consciousness Flow_2016
Using the hands as subject and medium to explore the quest for unity between humans, nature, art, and others provides deep insight into the artist’s inner world and the questions that define us as individuals and members of a larger community.
Emphasizing the process over the final product suggests a deeper interest in the investigative process itself rather than the end result. The concept of a laboratory as a place for exploration and experimentation without predetermined solutions further underscores the experimental approach to art and opens up space for unexpected and creative outcomes.
In addition, the awareness of the transience and fragility of the materials adds a deeper dimension to the work, highlighting the idea of impermanence and the changes that occur within ourselves and our surroundings. By documenting the action as part of the creative process, the artist creates a lasting record of her artistic practice while exploring themes of identity, impermanence, and change.
Overall, this work suggests deep introspection and reflection, and opens up space for a wide range of interpretations and experiences.
