Description
After the successful experience of the first “urban scar” season, DKollektiv is once again inviting creativity. The theme of soil and subsoil offers an opportunity for new research into the history and future of the steel industry site.
By moving away from the center of the industry and coming into contact with the earth, it becomes possible to make visible traces of an often distant past and to experience the transformation taking place in these surroundings. The Minette cross-border region, the post-industrial site and its subsoil, and the Haard nature reserve are spaces where nature manifests itself through change.
Project:
Installation “Tiramol “
For the Sols et Sous-sols project, I will create an installation called Tiramol, which combines metal and ceramics. The uniqueness of this work lies in its site-specificity, as I source metal from the exhibition space and collect clay from the Minette site, which I then process to create the ceramic components. The artefacts are derived from this specific site.
